Behind every natural stone bracelet lies a story. Today, I'm opening the doors to Cybèle Pierres through an interview that reflects my journey, my passions, and my values.
My name is Florence, originally from Cergy, and by adoption, Vauréallienne. I am 38 years old, I live surrounded by my cats, and I am curious by nature. I love exploring new worlds, whether it's history, natural stones, or the small pleasures of everyday life.
My passion for stones began several years ago, the day I encountered a rose quartz. It exuded an incredible softness, and I wanted to understand why it attracted me so much. Since then, I have never ceased to marvel at minerals and their stories.
I create all my natural stone bracelets by hand, in my workshop in Val-d’Oise.
Since I have always loved creative hobbies, it was natural for me to start creating beaded bracelets. When I discovered natural stones, I realized that I could make jewelry that was not only beautiful but also meaningful.
The real turning point came after a burnout and the end of my unemployment. I didn't want to go back to salaried employment and decided to take the plunge. I created Cybèle Pierres with the desire to prove that I could make a living from my passion and offer unique jewelry.
For me, Cybèle Pierres is primarily about independence. But it is also a showcase of who I am: authentic, sincere creations made with passion.
My main values:
Authenticity: only real stones, never imitation.
Sincerity: I talk about traditions and symbolism, without exaggeration.
Sharing: interaction with my clients is at the heart of my work.
I have been working with trusted suppliers for over 6 years, which allows me to guarantee the quality of the stones. Each bracelet is designed as a small, unique composition, and I personally handle every order, every message, every shipment. This closeness is my strength: my clients know they can count on me.
If I had to summarize Cybèle Pierres in three words: passion, trust, and exchange.
When I create a bracelet, I sometimes start with an intention (calm, energy, creativity…), sometimes with a stone that inspires me. I always look for balance: never more than three stones, to maintain harmony.
One creation that particularly moved me is the "Mourning" bracelet, made of howlite, spinel, and rhodonite. I created it in 2022 after losing my grandmother. Initially, it was a piece of jewelry for myself, but I decided to offer it in the shop. Each time someone orders it, I feel a particular emotion: it is a bracelet born of pain, but which can become a support for others.
My favorite remains apatite. It is a stone that fascinates me with its depth, as if it contained a piece of the ocean within it. It instantly calms me and inspires me greatly in my creations. But beyond apatite, I believe that each stone has its place depending on life's moments: some accompany me in periods of calm, others in phases of change or new projects.
This is what makes stones so endearing: they evolve with us, like small symbolic markers we always keep close.
Outside my workshop, I have a thousand passions. Genealogy, which I have been practicing for years. Creative hobbies with my Cricut, which allows me to make many things for Cybèle Pierres. Video games to relax, reading, and especially history and castles. And then, of course, time spent with my loved ones and my cats.
A detail that few of my clients know: I lived in Mexico and speak Spanish fluently. I also have a Master's degree in European Studies and International Relations, a facet I rarely share but which is part of my journey.
If I hadn't created Cybèle Pierres, I think I would have liked to work in a library or in departmental archives.
In five years, I hope to offer even more unique stones and creations. I would also like to organize a major event to meet my subscribers and clients "in real life." And why not write a book on my personal approach to stones.
Among my slightly crazy projects: opening a workshop-boutique where I could welcome clients, organize workshops, and collaborate with other artisans to blend our expertise. I would like Cybèle Pierres to also become a place for meeting and sharing.
What I especially want to convey through my creations is that everyone can find a piece of jewelry that resonates with them. A bracelet that becomes a symbolic companion, a discreet support, or simply a small source of daily joy.
Answering these questions reminded me how much Cybèle Pierres is a heartfelt adventure, made of encounters, passions, and small stones that mark life's stages. If you want to talk about stones or ask me other questions, feel free to leave a comment under this article or come chat with me on Instagram. After all, Cybèle Pierres is also a beautiful story we write together.
Each bracelet is a symbolic companion, designed to accompany a moment in life.
